Adam Milstein has been pleased to be one of the hosts of a video competition supporting Israel and promoting the Jewish culture and heritage known as Inspired by Israel. It was just started in 2016 and sponsored by the Milstein Family Foundation, StandWithUs and 12Tribes Films. There are entrants from all around the world who post videos they create on IsraelVideoNetwork.com and out of all those entrants, 10 finalists are selected from which $20,000 in prize money is awarded including the $8,000 Grand Prize. Adam Milstein and his wife Gila have been using philanthropy to support Israeli and Jewish American causes over the years, and this competition is a way they chose to let others use artistic means to show their support.
Adam Milstein is the oldest of three sons born in Israel to Hillel and Eva Milstein who were both first generation immigrants to the recently established nation. Adam is a veteran of the Israeli Defense Forces, serving four years including fighting in the unit led by Ariel Sharon in the Yom Kippur War. Adam Milstein began his career in real estate after completing his bachelor’s degree at the Technion – Israeli Institute of Technology. He first worked on the construction project management side with his father for several years, but then he decided to go into investing after he traveled to the US to complete graduate school.
Adam Milstein helped build a prominent commercial and residential broker company along with Robert Neal and David Hager, the founder who the company Hager Pacific Properties was named after. Milstein took care of the financing and property management side of things and helped the company grow to billions in property assets under management. It owns luxurious buildings across California, where the company is based as well as Texas and Illinois. But a large part of Milstein’s day is also spent in philanthropy at the Milstein Family Foundation that he and his wife Gila cofounded in 2000. Milstein’s mission to build coalitions across the Jewish community to strengthen its standing with the US, and to educate Jews in their heritage. He’s also president of the Israeli-American Council.
